An expansion container is needed when the temperature rises and the water expands.
The volume increases 1.5% with a temperature increase from 20°C to 60°C. The larger volume of water must fit somewhere and that is the task of the expansion container.
The containers are quality tested in several steps through production to ensure the structural integrity of each vessel.
The expansion containers can be installed so that they are held up by the pipe system, on a wall or standing freely on the floor.
